PROVIDENCE, R.I.
(WRNI) -
At the JamStage in Pawtucket, six bands spent a week rocking out. They wrote new songs, worked on their technique, and made silk-screened shirts with logos across the front. Typical band behavior, except that these band members were 27 girls ages 11 to 18 - many of whom had never played an instrument before. They were part of Rhode Island's first rock n roll camp for girls. WRNI's Megan Hall packed her ear plugs and prepared this report.
