Shreveport GM plant begins H3T production SHREVEPORT, LA. (AP) (wrkf) - The Hummer H3T is rolling of the assembly line at Shreveport's General Motors plant at a clip of 320 per day.

Plant officials had no a specific date for the H3T to hit dealerships, but spokeswoman Traci Murray said it will be available by late this month.

The suggested retail price is $31,495. The local plant is the only one producing the H3T.

Plant officials say the H3T will feature the same inline five-cylinder engine as the H3, with an option to purchase a V8 engine.

The estimated fuel economy is 14 city and 18 highway miles per gallon. The fuel tank capacity is 27 gallons.

GM's Shreveport plant also produces the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Hummer H3. © Copyright 2009, wrkf
