Gustav knocks down historic oak
(2008-09-08)
(wrkf) - A sprawling oak tree on the grounds of the state Capitol is one of the victms of Hurricane Gustav.

The Thomas Boyd oak had huge branches that were held off the ground by cables. It was a centerpiece of the Capitol's gardens but it was uprooted by the winds that swept through Baton Rouge early last week.
