Stalemate over LSU board chairman-elect
Lawyer Jim Roy of Lafayette automatically became the new chairman on Thursday.
But some board members support Alvin Kimble of Baton Rouge as the chairman-elect who will succeed Roy in the fall of 2009. Others support the man who is reportedly Governor Bobby Jindal's choice, Dr. John George of Shreveport.
