Changes ahead for state after-school programs
The programs include "After School for All," which is designed to reduce the number of out-of-wedlock births through tutoring, youth development and other steps. Also due for changes are the "Community-based Tutoring Program" and the "21st Century Community Learning Centers" program.

Louisiana's Board of Elementary and Secondary Education has voted to improve oversight of three after-school programs that were under fire fire for allegedly lax controls.The programs include "After School for All," which is designed to reduce the number of out-of-wedlock births through tutoring, youth development and other steps. Also due for changes are the "Community-based Tutoring Program" and the "21st Century Community Learning Centers" program.
