Obama's Louisiana campaign director is 2008 Loyola-N.O. grad
(2008-08-22)
(wrkf) - The Louisiana director for Democrat Barack Obama's presidential campaign is a 2008 graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans.

The Obama campaign announced Thursday that the campaign will be led by David Huynh, who joined a boutique media consulting firm in New Orleans as an associate in April, and took a leave of absence in July to work on Obama's campaign.

Huynh is a district delegate pledged to Obama for next week's Democratic National Convention in Denver. He managed winning campaigns last year for state Representative Karen Carter Peterson and state Senator Cheryl Gray, and for Beasley Denson, tribal chief of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

The Obama campaign's news release describes him as a veteran organizer with experience at federal, state, and local levels.
