Book club starting at La.'s annual book fest
(2008-08-13)
(wrkf) - The annual Louisiana Book Festival is adding a new feature this year for its avid readers: a book club.

Participants will read "All the King's Men," Robert Penn Warren's Pulitzer Prize-winning book based on the life of former Louisiana Governor Huey Long. Then, they'll discuss the book at the annual literary festival in Baton Rouge in October.

Though the festival isn't until October 4, those interested in the book club must sign up well before that since space in the club is limited to 75 people.

More information is available by e-mailing Sharonne Primus at sprimus@state.lib.la.us or calling at (225) 342-4926.
