Audit questions mayor's use of credit card
A report released Monday by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor also says Price may have improperly accepted gifts, including golf and hunting trips, from people doing business with the city.
The audit says Price made nearly $9,000 in personal charges on his city credit card from September 2003 through March 2008, plus more than $36,000 for meals that weren't properly documented.
The auditor's report says Price has reimbursed the city for about $3,500 of the nearly $9,000 in personal charges.
In a written response, the city says the audit is filled with errors. The city also says all the purchases on city-issued credit cards were for a public purpose. © Copyright 2009, wrkf
