ENO files for rate reduction
In a filing Thursday with the City Council, Entergy New Orleans Incorporated proposed a $23 million reduction in electric rates and the fuel adjustment charge.
ENO said the proposal would translate into a monthly saving of $6.40 per 1,000 kilowatt hours.
Rod West, the unit's CEO, said the increased number of customers, along with a program of managing costs, resulted in the filing.
ENO has 141,000 power customers and 88,000 gas customers in New Orleans.
