Cravins gets attention from DC Democrats OPELOUSAS, LA. (AP) (wrkf) - Congressional candidate Don Cravins of Saint Landry Parish is getting attention from Democrats in Washington D.C.

The state senator's campaign is on the so-called "emerging races" list at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

A spokeswoman says the group believes Cravins can defeat the incumbent, Republican Congressman Charles Boustany of Lafayette.

The two are running in the 4th District, which covers southwest Louisiana. Peter Vidrine, an independent from Eunice, is also running. © Copyright 2009, wrkf
