Pennington gets about $6M to study exercise, age
The Pennington Biomedical Research Center awarded $29.5 million to several institutions -- about one-fifth to Pennington -- during the next two years to determine whether a specific physical activity program can stave off disability in older people.
In a news release, Pennington plans to help begin the new Lifestyle Interventions and Independence for Elders program, called LIFE trial.
