US Sen. Vitter meets with AG on Census
The Census Bureau plans to count all U.S. residents without asking if they're U.S. citizens. Vitter said use of that data in redrawing congressional districts would mean Louisiana and several other states would lose a seat in the U.S. House.
Vitter wants the Census to count all U.S. residents, but only use citizens for use in making the new districts. He said that system would mean Louisiana would retain its current seven House seats.
