Treen memorial service at La. Capitol BATON ROUGE, LA (AP) (wrkf) - Mourners are gathering at the Louisiana Capitol to remember former Gov. Dave Treen, who died last week at the age of 81.

A funeral procession brings Treen's casket to the Capitol, and he'll be honored with a memorial service to include Gov. Bobby Jindal and former governors. Visitation in the Capitol's Memorial Hall between the House and Senate chambers will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Treen was Louisiana's first Republican governor since Reconstruction. He held the job for one term from 1980 to 1984.
