Bill Clinton Opens Greenbuild Expo
The conference will focus on ways to incorporate environmentally friendly design into buildings.
Chicago Mayor Richard Daley says the city is doing what it can to go green.
"We're talking about the environment, and the city has lead the way and leading the way for businesses and not-for-profits. That's how you have to do so you can bring the cost down. You can show how you can save money in energy costs."
Daley has said in the past that he wants to make Chicago the most environmentally friendly city in the U-S.
But his green initiative took a hit in the newest budget proposal.
The expansion of the city's new "blue-bin" recycling program could be delayed to save money.
