Obam a Misses Votes SPRINGFIELD, IL (wqub) - Barack Obama's presidential candidacy is taking up more of his time. That's especially true in recent weeks. A C-N-N investigation found the freshman Illinois Senator missed more votes than any other Democratic hopeful during September. In an emailed response... his spokesperson says Obama has done a good job balancing his duties in Washington with campaigning in state's like Iowa and New Hampshire. But the Illinois Republican Party's Lance Trover is quick to blast Obama....


Obama is not alone. Other Democratic and Republican candidates who hold other offices are also frequently absent from their full time jobs. Obama's campaign says the Senator has been present for many key votes and to debate issues like federal hate crimes legislation.
