United Posts Record Profits CHICAGO, IL (wqub) - Chicago-based United Airlines Corporation posted record profits TUESDAY.

That means happy stockholders but not necessarily happy consumers.

Chicago Public Radio's Adriene Hill reports.

United Airlines announced its most profitable quarter in seven year.

It earned 330-million dollars July to September of this year.

That's up from 190 million during the same period last year.

But the profit highs seem to be accompanied by consumer lows.

According to a report from the Department of Transportation-

Only 66 percent of United's flights arrived on time in August of this year.
