Ernesto Che Guevara, whose iconic image is seen on T-shirts everywhere, was the military strategist behgind Castro's takeover of Cuba in 1959. His ambitions extended far beyond the island nation and made him exceptionally dangerous, according to a biographer, Paul Dosal of the University of South Florida. Che was born June 15, 1928, and killed in Bolivia in 1968.
