All he had to do was walk in the room Conducting students of Leonard Bernstein were surprised to find that their teacher rarely discussed baton technique or how to use their left hand to direct the orchestra. One of his students, JoAnn Falletta, says the Bernstein mystique - and her memories of him - remain quite vivid.
