WY Democrats Hope for Obama/Biden Visit
(2008-09-18)
(wpr) - The executive director of the Wyoming Democratic Party isn't holding his breath, but he's hopeful that either Joe Biden or Barack Obama will swing through Wyoming.

Obama visited Wyoming ahead of the state's Democratic caucuses in March. That was at the height of his state-by-state battle with Hillary Clinton for the nomination.

Bill Luckett, the state Democrats' executive director, says he hasn't heard about plans for a Wyoming visit by the Democratic ticket.

However, some Western states including Colorado are in play this election. Luckett hopes that either Obama or Biden will stop by the state while they're out campaigning in the region.

One possible place to stop in Wyoming would be Teton County. Obama and the Democratic National Committee recently raised almost $450,000 in a single night in Teton County without help from the presence of any major political figure.
