Cities ask Business Council for more money GREEN RIVER, WYO. (wpr) - The mayors of Rock Springs and Green River say their cities desperately need more state money to pay for public infrastructure, especially water and sewer lines.

The two made their pleas to the Wyoming Business Council on Wednesday. They say their cities can't afford to pay for the infrastructure needed to keep up with the booming oil and gas economy.

The business council considers requests by local governments for state grants and loans.

Part of the state formula for distributing economic development money is based upon population. But both Green River and Rock Springs have large numbers of transient workers, which hurts their
chances of getting the money they need.
