Business Council seeks to double business loan limit
The Council's Bob Jensen says right now, the program loans Wyoming businesses up to 250-thousand dollars.
Jensen wants the cap to be 500-thousand. He says they'll make a strong case for the increased funding before a legislative committee tomorrow.
"We think the return on investment is good. The fact that it's returning on average about 5 percent back to the state, plus all the jobs created through it," Jensen said.
Jensen says the pool would be replenished by repayment of the loans so this would be a one-time infusion of money.
