Wyoming doctor favors public option
Robert Monger is a rheumatologist in Cheyenne. He says he is in favor of including a public option in the health care bill. "I worry quite a bit about employer based insurance that it traps into not being able to leave their jobs or having to take whatever insurance is offered through their employer," he said. "My personal opinion is that a public option could significantly improve that situation for a lot of people."
Meanwhile, a vice president with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming says he thinks a public option could have negative effects on the delivery of health care, but does add that it all comes down to the details of the plan.
