Supreme Court Ends School Funding Suit
Meantime, attorneys and state lawmakers are welcoming the decision. A Supreme Court ruling effectively ends court oversight of the state's funding of public schools. After 35 years of legal battles, the Supreme Court finally ruled that the financing systems put in place by the legislature meet Constitutional muster. An attorney for the state, Michael O'Donnell, says this marks the end of major litigation on a very long and complicated case. Meantime, attorneys and state lawmakers are welcoming the decision.
