Lummis, Sansonetti say they're weighing U.S. House run
former state GOP Chairman Tom Sansonetti say they might run for Wyoming's lone U.S. House seat.
Lummis and Sansonetti were two of the three finalists to replace the late Sen. Craig Thomas last summer.
Both now say they're thinking about making a run after Rep. Barbara Cubin announced on Saturday that she isn't going to seek an eighth term.
Three Republicans have already announced they will run: Bill Winney, a retired naval officer; Swede Nelson, a Cheyenne motivational speaker and substitute teacher; and Kenn Gilchrist, a
Casper social worker.
Democrat Gary Trauner announced his campaign last month.
Trauner is a Wilson businessman who narrowly lost to Cubin last year.
Cubin told the state GOP Central Committee in Casper on Saturday that she isn't seeking re-election because she wants to spend more time with her family.
