UW Ranked in the Middle by US News & World Report
(2007-08-23)
(wpr) - The University of Wyoming falls somewhere between the best and worst ranked colleges in the nation.

That's according to national rankings from U.S. News and World Report.

The magazine recently published its list of best colleges for 2008. The issue is on newsstands now.

It ranks Princeton University as the best in the country in the category of national universities.

The University of Colorado and Colorado State University were among four Colorado universities in the top tier, or the top 50 percent on the magazine's scale.

The report puts UW in the third-tier schools ranking, which is right behind the top schools category. The third-tier includes schools that ranked in the next 25 percent.

The lowest ranking is the fourth tier with the bottom 25 percent of the schools.
