New Nelsonville police chief NELSONVILLE, OH (WOUB) - Nelsonville has a new police chief.

David Valkinburg of Logan was hired last night.

Valkinburg beat out 11 other candidates that applied for the job.

Valkinburg is now Director of Safety at Hocking College.

Nelsonville has been without a permanent police chief since 2004 when David Heineking resigned.
