Farmers Markets Get Federal Funding
Senator Sherrod Brown announced today 213-thousand dollars will be given to Ohio Farmers Markets, with 36,500 of that going to Appalachian Center for Economic Networks in Athens.
More than 42-thousand dollars will go to Chillicothe Farmers Market Association and nearly 54-thousand dollars will go to The Ohio State University Research Foundation in Piketon.
The new federal grants are being awarded through USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service.

The Farmers Market in Athens is getting a little help - thanks to federal funds aimed at promoting farmers markets across the country.Senator Sherrod Brown announced today 213-thousand dollars will be given to Ohio Farmers Markets, with 36,500 of that going to Appalachian Center for Economic Networks in Athens.
