Scioto County Children Services Union
(WOUB) - Union workers for Scioto County Children Services have rejected a contract offer and are continuing their plan to strike.

American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees local Vice President Matt Conn says Thursday night's vote was due, in part, to pay raises being too small.

Conn says, "Even when the fact finder's report came out we dropped what we had and accepted that because in many aspects that was better than what we were trying to get. The board has come back with different offers."

W-O-U-B News called Children Services for comment but no one was available to talk.

The union had planned to go on strike Monday if there's no settlement but the deadline has been pushed back to September 29th.
