Chesapeake Woman Convicted

(WOUB) - An Ohio woman has pleaded guilty to
stealing more than $52,000 from the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Charleston says 51-year-old Brenda
Kay Newton from Chesapeake, Ohio faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

She's due to be sentenced Dec. 6.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Newton, who's also known as Brenda Kay Mills, entered the guilty plea Monday.

Newton was mcharged last June with endorsing and cashing Railroad Retirement
Board checks issued to a dead person from February 2000 to June 2007.
