Morgan County Dog Shelter
(2008-09-16)
(WOUB) - Animal advocacy groups are pleased with improvements at the Morgan County Dog Shelter, but say a lot of work still needs to be done.

This is after hundreds of K-9 remains were found in the facility's backyard five months ago.

Edward Sisler is President of the Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

He says though things are better, he's found discrepancies in the county's financial records.

But Morgan County Commissioner Rick Shriver says the taxpayers and the dogs are better served than ever before.

Sisler says his organization will take the matter to court if concerns are not addressed by the end of the week
