Morgan Co. Dog Shelter Questions
(2008-09-15)
(WOUB) - Animal advocacy groups are pleased with improvements at the Morgan County Dog Shelter, but still say a lot of work needs to be done.

This is after hundreds of K-9 remains were found in the facilities own backyard just five months ago.

Edward Sisler, President of the Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, says he's found discrepancies in the county's auditing books.

He also says there are still concerns with the safety at the dog shelter.

But County Commissioner Richard Shriver says the taxpayers and the dogs are better served than ever before.

Sisler threatens to take the matter to court if it is not addressed by the end of the week.
