Gallipolis Man in Court GALLIA COUNTY, OH (WOUB) - A Gallipolis man will make his first appearance in Gallia County Court today for robbery.

32 year-old Michael Koella allegedly held up the Par Mar Store around 10 P.M. Sunday night.

Gallipolis police say he fled the scene with cash and cigarettes and officers chased him on foot to the Chillicothe Street Bridge.

They say Koella jumped from the bridge into the Chickamauga Creek and swam away.

He was later found in the woods and taken into custody.

Koella was taken to Holzer Medical Center for injuries he sustained from his jump off the bridge. © Copyright 2009, WOUB
