Chillicothe man indicted

(WOUB) - A Ross County Grand Jury has indicted a Chillicothe man accused of killing a woman before setting her apartment on fire.

20-year-old Casey Pigge was served an eight count indictment in the death of Rhonda Sommers and, if convicted, could face the dealth penalty.

Back on September 5th, Sommer's body was found after her West Second Street apartment was set on fire.

Pigge was indicted on two counts of aggravated murder, one count of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated arson, burglary, tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse.

The indictment alleges Pigge had the intent to rob and kill the victim, who died after being killed with a sharp instrument.

Pigge and the victim's daughter have an infant child together.
