OU semester transition meeting ATHENS, OH (WOUB) - The team that will determine the process for Ohio University's transition from quarters to semesters met for the first time yesterday.

The team has 18 voting members and includes representatives of the faculty, students and the Athens community.

The co-chairs are Associate Provost David Descutner and professor Tom Carpenter.

Officials with the University System of Ohio want all state schools to adopt the semester system and OU is one of the last hold outs. © Copyright 2009, WOUB
