Psychiatric campus in Cambridge sold
(2008-09-05)
(WOUB) - A Florida company has bought one of two
recently-closed psychiatric hospitals formerly operated by the state of Ohio.

Tampa, Fla.-based Oglethorpe Inc. plans psychiatric hospital and a substance abuse treatment facility on the 40-acre campus of Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare in Cambridge.

The sale price was not disclosed.

Governor Strickland said in January that the state would close that hospital and Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare in Dayton as part of a cost-cutting move.

Oglethorpe already owns one facility in the Columbus suburb of Gahanna.
