Voinovich upset at lack of progress in D.C.
(2008-08-07)
(WOUB) - U.S. Senator George Voinovich voiced his frustrations with the federal legislative process as his continued his tour through Appalachian Ohio yesterday.

Voinovich says since it's a presidential election year, Congress most likely won't be passing any major bills until after a new president is elected.

"We'll go and run our budget for five months on a continuing resolution which means for those five months state governments, local governments will not really know what's going to be available to them and it is absolutely outrageous," he said.

Voinovich made stops in Marietta and Gallipolis to discuss health care and gas prices as he concluded a two day swing through the region.
