WV University cuts down on commuting
(2008-08-04)
(WOUB) - Students commuting to one college campus in the region may be keeping more money in their pockets.

That's because West Virginia University at Parkersburg is offering a new plan to limit the number of trips students take to the campus each week.

It's called "Two Days a Week," and the program will begin during the upcoming fall semester.

W.V.U.P. Administrator Connie Dziagwa says the commuter campus wants to help its more than 4,000 students by trimming the number of days they come to class.

She says the program will still allow students to carry a full class load.

The program is expected to be up and running when fall semester starts at W.V.U.P. August 18th.
