Post Office Incidents a Hoax
(WOUB) - The FBI says two devices that appeared to be pipe bombs found at separate post offices in Ohio were not explosives.

FBI spokesman Michael Brooks said Wednesday that authorities are still analyzing the contents inside the devices, which prompted evacuations Tuesday in the tiny towns of Guysville and Stewart.

He would not talk about what they contained.

Brooks called the devices a hoax and said the FBI believes neither object could have exploded.

He said bomb squads from Columbus and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton examined the devices.

Athens County officials say they don't think the objects are linked to explosives found last week at three sites in nearby Nelsonville, including one device that blew a window out of a
camera shop.
