Names Released
(WOUB) - Fire officials have identified the four
people whose bodies were found in a burning home early today in southern Ohio.

Fire officials say two of the victims were 41-year-old Colby Lynch and 53-year-old Sandi Schalit, both of Portsmouth.

They say the other two were 53-year-old Lea Ann Woods and Meyleigh Snipes,
both of Westerville.

Fire officials didn't know the child's age or the victims' relationships.

Portsmouth Fire Chief Bill Raison says the victims were found inside the two-story, single-family home in the city's downtown.

He says police officers on patrol smelled smoke and called firefighters when they saw flames break through a window.

A state fire marshal's spokesman now says investigators don't know whether smoke detectors were working.

Fire officials said
earlier that the house had no working detectors.
