Kentucky man killed by limb
(2008-07-02)
(WOUB) - Police in West Virginia have identified
the man killed in a Charleston tree trimming accident as
35-year-old Steven A. Robinette of Catlettsburg, Ky.

Robinette, an employee of Prichard Lawn Care of Ashland, Ky.,
died Monday when a limb estimated to weigh as much as 800 pounds
fell on him.

Police say Robinette and a co-worker were removing a smaller
tree. When the smaller tree was moved, a weak branch on a larger
tree nearby fell about 40 feet, hitting the victim.

Prichard Lawn Care had been contracted by Appalachian Electric
Power to clear rights of way around the utility's Greenbrier
substation.

A message left at Prichard was not returned.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is
investigating.
