New Suddenlink Center
(WOUB) - Suddenlink Communications says a new $3.5 million call center it plans for Wood County will be completed by October, adding to the company's area work force.

The 18,000-square-foot facility will serve 240,000 cable, Internet and phone customers in a five-state region

The company has an existing call center in Parkersburg, but regional vice president Dave Bach said Suddenlink has outgrow that facility.

The new center will add 33 full-time employees to the 188 currently employed in Parkersburg.

Suddenlink, the largest cable broadband provider in West Virginia, has about 1.3 million customers nationwide.
