Young archers win national title
(2008-06-10)
(WOUB) - Some students at Meigs Intermediate School have hit the bullseye.

An after-school archery club has won a national title.

Rusty Bookman is the principal at Meigs Intermediate and coach of the team, which was recently honored at the Ohio Statehouse.

Bookman says the program began in 2004 and has continued to grow.

Bookman says that archery teaches students discipline, in and out of the classroom.

Plus, he says, it's a fun activity for all ages.

The tournament last month was held by the National Archery in the Schools Program.
