No Attorney General Run
(WOUB) - Former U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine says he isn't
going to run for Ohio Attorney General this fall.

DeWine had been considered a top Republican candidate for the
post left empty after former Attorney General Marc Dann, a Democrat, resigned last month amid a sexual harassment scandal.

DeWine said Monday he thinks he'd do a good job in the position
but wants to devote all his time to running John McCain's presidential campaign in Ohio.

DeWine is a former U.S. senator, state lawmaker and county prosecutor.

The current attorney general, Nancy Hardin Rogers, was appointed by Gov. Ted Strickland last month and will leave at the end of the year.

Rogers, the Ohio State law school dean, wasn't interested in serving out the remainder of Dann's two year term.
