Survey shows television ads for presidential hopefuls are boring
(WOUB) - Boring and annoying.

That's what most people call primary campaign television ads for the presidential candidates, according to a new poll.

The Scripps Survey Research Center at Ohio University and the Scripps Howard News Service did a telephone survey of one thousand adults across the country.

58 percent said the television ads were somewhat or very boring.

66 percent said they were often or sometimes annoying.

Only four percent said the ads were very influential in terms of what they think about the candidates.

Candidates John McCain and Barack Obama were considered to have the most honest ads...and, by a wide margin, Obama was considered to have the most inspirational ads.

The participants were interviewed between May 12th and the 27th.
