ODNR increases horsepower limit for two lakes
(WOUB) - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has increased the horsepower limit for boats on two lakes in Eastern Ohio.

The ODNR signed an interim agreement with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District to allow a horsepower rating of up to 399 for boats on the Tappan and Seneca Lakes.

According to a news release, the agreement is in response to a May 10 public hearing about the proposed increase from a 299 to 399 horsepower limit.

ODNR representatives say they will hold more public meetings this year to help them decide on a permanent agreement.
