Solid waste district gets aid for recycling programs
(2008-05-21)
(WOUB) - The Southeastern Ohio Joint Solid Waste Management District is receiving $100,000 from the state to aid in recycling and litter prevention programs.

The district is made up of Guernsey, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble and Washington counties.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the district will use the money to purchase equipment to expand an existing recycling facility.

The new equipment will be able to handle an estimated 3,200 tons of material each year.
