Grant awarded to renovate National Guard Armory
Fred Deel, Director of the Office of Appalachia, was in Marietta for a check ceremony yesterday.
So was State Representative Jennifer Garrison...who promised to try to come up with another 200-thousand dollar state grant for the project.
The renovation will turn the armory into a visitor information and multi-use community center.
It's expected to cost around one-point-six million dollars.
