Decoster Sentenced

(WOUB) - A Former Ohio University baseball player has pleaded guilty to a charge of persistent disorderly conduct in connection with a gambling investigation.

Brent Decoster made the plea this morning.

Decoster was sentenced to 30 days in jail - but the the sentence was suspended on the conditions that he serve two years probation, complete 25 days of community service, get evaluated for having a gambling addiction - and follow the counselors recommendations.

Authorities say Decoster and 22-year old Andrew Shisla ran a betting operation, which included eight people.

Last month, Shisila plead guilty to illegal bookmaking charges and was also sentenced to two years probation with the same conditions.
