Study shows even insured Ohioans can't afford health care
(WOUB) - A new study says nearly five million Ohioans don't make enough money to afford health care costs even if they have insurance.

The report was released today by Policy Matters Ohio in conjunction with the start of Cover the Uninsured Week.

The study finds families at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level cannot afford to make any contribution toward their health care without employer contributions or public subsidies.

Ohio Consumers for Health Coverage Director Kathleen Gmeiner says different groups will have to work together to get the cost of health care down.

Gmeiner adds that health care is an important issue to voters, and politicians running for office should make it a priority to make health care more affordable.
