NPR host and OU alum writes book
(WOUB) - Michael Krasny has fond memories of his time at Ohio University.

Krasny got two degrees at OU before eventually winding up at an National Public Radio affiliate in San Francisco, where he hosts an interview program.

His specialty is talking with writers.

And he's also an author himself.

Krasny's latest book is called "Off Mike: A Memoir of Talk Radio and Literary Life."

"Off Mike" is non-fiction and tells how Krasny wanted to be a novelist but drifted toward radio instead.

Krasny not only talks and writes, he teaches.

He's a professor of English at San Francisco State University.

Krasny's book includes vignettes from 47 interviews, including Joyce Carol Oates, Amy Tan, and Joan Didion.
